The kindness of volunteers
Centre of Compassion Study Group, (formerly Jamyang Liverpool) is an establishing study group, who provide mindfulness meditation and classes in Liverpool city centre. We do not aim to make a profit and there are no paid staff. All our activity is made possible through the kindness of volunteers. Here are a few of the ways that our volunteers and friends enable us to continue to offer meditation and classes:
Leave an offering when attending meditation and classes
In an attempt to be inclusive, we aim to avoid 'entry fees' for the meditation and classes where possible, instead relying on the kindness and generosity of those attending. At each class there will be an offering bowl - we hope that everyone will be able to offer a suggested donation to help us cover costs. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and allows us to continue to offer meditation and classes in Liverpool.
Volunteer your time and skills
The contribution of volunteer time and expertise goes a long way towards maintaining Centre of Compassion Study Group. Our study group share activity such as co-ordinating classes, setting up the venue, producing and distributing leaflets, planning visits of teachers, developing this website, searching for venues and many other tasks! If you are interested in helping, please get in touch [email protected] or ask at the end of one of the classes.
